Il Tartufo Bianco è il prodotto tipico che ha resa famosa la zona di San Miniato, una cittadina in provincia di Pisa, arroccata su una collina in posizione dominante.

Ad oggi San Miniato vanta un'importante Mostra-Mercato sul Tartufo Bianco, che si tiene durante tutto il mese di Novembre.
La raccolta del Tartufo Bianco viene regolamentata e quest'anno va dal 21 Settembre fino a Dicembre, per condizioni climatiche quest'anno è iniziata con un leggero ritardo, dovuto al clima particolarmente poco piovoso della scorsa estate.
Per favorire infatti, la crescita del prestigioso fungo, è necessario infatti, un clima che alterni pioggia e vento.

La Mostra-Mercato Nazionale del Tartufo Bianco è così giunta alla sua 43° edizione, diventando un importante appuntamento di valorizzazione del territorio.
Nelle piazze della cittadina, stand di produttori della zona, ma anche da tutta Italia, con una selezione dei migliori prodotti regionali.
Dal burro al tartufo, alla pasta all'uovo, olio d'oliva aromatizzato, miele, formaggi e salumi, nonchè prodotti dolciari, come il cioccolato al tartufo.

Nowadays there's a very important Exhibition all about White Truffle, during the whole month of November.
Haunting for truffles is a controled activity: this year it started on 21st September and will stop in December.
This year we had a very strange weather during Summer and it's influenced the growing up of this mushroom: for a good harvest we need rain , wet and wind. This summer we had just a little rain, so the period of haunting has started a little later than usual.
